What is LadiesCon?

LadiesCon is a FREE celebration of women of all kinds and their work in comic books, science fiction, fantasy, cosplay, and many other realms of pop culture. LadiesCon was created as a welcoming event for everyone that would showcase creators in a variety of fields with a particular focus on creators who are women, non-binary, LGBTQ, and people of color, plus local artists.

LadiesCon 2020 was held online from September 9 through 13.

History of LadiesCon

The first LadiesCon was held in 2016 at a community office space in Davis Square with panels held at Comicazi. In 2017, we moved to the Armory and the convention has been held there through 2019. LadiesCon 2020 was our fifth convention and our first one held online.

The Ladies of Comicazi

The Ladies of Comicazi began as a blog in 2013 with four women who wanted to share their love of comics and pop culture with their community. Since then, the site and the group have expanded into an inclusive community offering posts on our website, monthly events at Comicazi, and our annual LadiesCon.
